CSDT visits QSDT + QSEC Update
This afternoon we had the pleasure of having Carleton University’s Architecture and Engineering team (CSDT, Carleton Sustainable Design Team) visit us here at Queen’s. They gave us a presentation on the conceptual designs for our conjoined project for the upcoming Solar Decathlon. The designs included ideas about a Canadian themed house as well as large open living spaces. Overall we were impressed by their presentation and look forward to seeing more from them.
Afterward, a few of the QSDT members went straight to the QSEC worksite to continue working on the new Solar Educational Centre. We installed windows and doors with the help of our sponsor, First Capital Construction. We cannot stress how helpful First Capital Construction has been with the progress on the QSEC and look forward to their guidance as we continue to work on the Solar Educational Centre. We would also like to thank Kingston Windows and Doors for supplying our new set of triple pane windows and doors for the new QSEC building.
Check the blog daily as we continue to update our progress on the QSEC.
