Queen’s Solar Educational Centre
The Queen’s Solar Educational Centre has finally arrived! Arriving 3pm on Thursday September 15th, the QSEC came on two separate trucks. The next few hours were spent assembling the house onto the foundation that had already been laid out. Since the prefabricated home is bare with only framing and roofing, we will be working on it over the next few months to install sustainable technologies along with other features such as solar panels, Energy Star triple-pane windows, and a net-zero home irrigation system.
Continue to watch the progress of the QSEC on the corner of Union st. and Division st. and see its development on a weekly basis. Also, don’t forget about the grand unveiling on October 15th!
