Navied Shoushtarian, Alumnus

Navied Shoushtarian is a fourth year Electrical Engineering student. With the increasing emissions of harmful pollutants and skyrocketing demand for energy, he believes that solar power can be utilized as a true alternate source of energy. He intends to help create an innovative and economical way to solve the energy crisis through harnessing this renewable source. Navied hopes to utilize his the knowledge he’s gained in class and apply new ideas to create a sustainable home.

He is currently working on implementing the control systems and monitoring systems. He intends for the control systems to create a system where the home will make decisions for you. Navied is also testing solar arrays, where he hopes to find new ways to improve and implement solar array technology. His ultimate goal is to contribute to the team and society by finding new and exciting ways to create a net-zero home. Navied is enthusiastic about the opportunity to lead the Electrical Team in a competition that will not only challenge his academic knowledge but also his leadership ability.
